An expert in early American antiques and head of Patty Gagarin Antiques for more than two decades, Frances “Patty” Moore Gagarin died on November 18 at the age of 90. She was a resident of Greenfield Hills and Southport, Conn.
Patty was the daughter of Charles W. Moore and Frances Wickham Moore of St Louis, Mo., and was married to Prince Serge Gagarin for 65 years. She is survived by her husband, her sons Andrew of Watch Hill, R.I., and Charles of Carmel Valley, Calif., and two grandchildren, Sasha and Serge Gagarin of Watch Hill.
Patty attended the Mary Institute of St Louis and the Ethel Walker School. She was a member of the Fairfield Garden Club, the Country Club of Fairfield, the Pequot Yacht Club and the Aubichwi Gun Club.
As a longtime collector and dealer of early American antiques, Patty participated in the East Side Armory Antiques Show for many years. She was also a regular exhibitor at many of the antiques shows and flea markets managed by the late Russell Carrell, including the Bedford Antiques Show and the Southport/Westport Antiques Show.
