Will Barnet, an American artist known for his paintings, watercolors, drawings and prints depicting the human figure and animals, both in casual scenes of daily life and in transcendent dreamlike worlds, died on November 13 at his home in Manhattan. He was 101.
Alexandre Gallery, a New York City gallery that represents his work, announced his passing. The gallery said that a memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 19, at the Art Student’s League. Private services for the immediate family were conducted last week.
