X-Base Candlestand - Price Upon Request

Eaton Newbury, MA 978-465-2754 peter@petereaton.com www.petereaton.com A rare William and Mary X-base candlestand with a molded and chamfered octagonal top, elongated vase-turned shaft, and with notched feet. It is maple throughout, probably Rhode Island, circa 1725–40. This stand was found covered with a thick coat of white paint over the original brown wash (evident under the feet). The top measures 15½ by 15¾ inches and it is 24 inches high.
