This tulip-shaped quart tankard was made by one of the most famous of all American pewterers, William Will. His products were of the highest quality and individuality. He worked in Philadelphia from 1764 to 1798. He was sheriff of Philadelphia and a member of the first Continental Congress. What Paul Revere is to silver, William Will is to pewter. This piece is in fine condition.
