Brass rims were added to pewter measures to strengthen the brim in case the measure was used for measuring heavier grains, etc. This pot-bellied style was very popular. This measures were only made in England in the 19th Century. To get a full set is unusual. These can be used as drinking vessels or measuring cups. The condition is fine.
