Portrait of a Young Girl Attributed to Thomas Ware- Price Upon Request
A charming portrait of a lovely young girl attributed to Thomas Ware (1803–1826) of Pomfret, Vt., an oil on canvas, circa 1820–25. A paper label affixed to the back of the canvas identifies Harriet Newell Keyes (1816–1832) of Vershire, Vt., as the sitter. It is in all original, untouched condition and descended in the family of the sitter. It measures 22 by 24 inches sight, 27¾ by 25¼ inches framed.
