A pair of console tables with marble tops supported by a carved and gilded frieze having egg, shell, and flower carving with quatrefoil carvings in intertwined oval scrolls over a ribbon and rosette moulding supported by carved and gilded eagles on cannon balls, resting on a later carved and gilded plinth base. Original gilding throughout, the frieze dry stripped water gilding, the eagle with dry stripped oil gilding. Replaced tops. English, Circa 1735 Height: 34 5/8” Width: 47 5/8” Depth: 20 7/8”
