A carved beechwood rectangular rococo mirror with re-silvered original? glass, and a finely carved and detailed frame, which is crested with a?scrolled acanthus leaf resting on double C-scrolls with C-scrolls bracketing? the sides of the frame, having columns on either side with S and C-scrolls? and trailing acanthus at the base. English, Circa 1755? Beechwood is an unusual carving timber and is of higher quality than the ?traditional pine. ?Height: 45 ½” Width: 28 ¼”
