Nordblom’s Offering of French Coastal Scene Sails to $37,950
CAMBRIDGE, MASS.sale this past Saturday, May 17.
The auction was highlighted by a Charles Camoin (French 1879-1963) painting entitled “Cote D’Azur” and depicted a French coastal scene with sailing vessel. The circa 1910 painting, oil on canvas measuring 251/2 by 33 inches, sold after active bidding for $37,950.
Other top lots included a John Fabian Carlson oil entitled “Early Winter” that sold at $25,300, a Pennsylvania Queen Anne mahogany birdcage candlestand realized $17,825, a Boston Queen Anne lowboy brought $16,100, and a Chippendale linen press also hammered down for $16,100.
