New York State Police, Troop B, Ray Brook, N.Y., is investigating a burglary that occurred at a camp on Spitfire Lake on May 21.

Reported stolen were several items, including a small wooden Adirondack paddle; two 2-foot-tall brass oil lamps; Adirondack-style wicker baskets; a Stickley oak end table measuring 24 by 24 by 22 inches; a pair of Tiffany glass candelabras; several spun metal candleholders; a woven pack basket; and approximately eight vintage rugs ranging in size from 8 by 8 feet to 4 by 6 feet.

Following are descriptions of the eight rugs that were stolen (dimensions are approximate); all are wool Navajo rugs from the 1920s‱930s. Striped chief’s blanket, 8 by 10 feet;

pattern rug, primarily tan and ivory with brown and red, 9 by 6 feet;

runner, brown, tan, ivory and golden tones, 3 by 8 feet;

pattern rug, main section red, with ivory brown and tan, 3 by 5 feet;

pattern rug, main section light brown with ivory, brown, red and mustard pattern, 5 by 7 feet;

pattern rug, main section light brown and ivory with brown and red accents, 3 by 5 feet;

pattern rug, primarily tan and brown with red and ivory accents, 9 by 12 feet;

pattern, primarily tan with ivory detailing and border of ivory, red and golden yellow, 3 by 5 feet.
