STONINGTON, CONN. – Quester Gallery is opened its annual exhibition “David Bareford: Recent Paintings.” It will run through June 18.

Bareford is an acclaimed artist in the American Impressionist tradition. His canvases are richly painted and embrace the plein-air tradition. This year’s show will include tow Herreshoff yacht racing paintings, several seascapes and beachscapes, numerous works featuring the sport of rowing, several small paintings of boatyards, as well as landscape paintings.

Bareford has become one of the foremost collected contemporary impressionistic painters. His work is represented in fine private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. He accepts several painting commissions each year of private and corporate properties, yachting subjects, rowing events, and specific locales.
