Sanford L. Smith & Associates Announce a New Show
NEW YORK CITY – Sanford L. Smith & Associates, creators of Modernism, Works on Paper and The Outsider Art Fair, announce a new show, ART 20, at the Park Avenue Armory November 21-24. Sixty-two exhibitors from the United States, Europe, Canada and Latin America will offer a range of art from the Twentieth Century.
For the first time, collectors will have an opportunity to examine and purchase art in the context of the completed century. ART 20 will present a sweeping overview of paintings, sculpture, drawings, watercolors, photography and prints that range in material and price, providing a comprehensive survey available to collectors.
ART 20, Sanford Smith notes, “will be a vibrant and exciting look into the Twentieth Century, with art displayed by important galleries from around the world. There will be a balance of traditional work exhibited by prominent dealers as well as work by a number of burgeoning, younger galleries showing engaging and innovative material. This is the major fall art fair in New York.”
Committed to the show are James Goodman, Rachel Adler, Babcock Galleries, Maxwell Davidson, David Findlay, Jr, Peter Findlay, Forum Gallery, Alan Koppel, Kennedy Galleries, Jeffrey Hoffeld, Keitelman Gallery, Goedhuis Contemporary, Galerie Fabien Boulakia, Sims Reed, Berkeley Square Gallery, Thomas McCormick and Susan Sheehan.
The venue, New York’s Park Avenue Armory at Park Avenue and 67th Street, is the most sought after site for fairs in the United States, according to Smith, who adds, “The November dates are sure to command superb attendance, as it is the month for the most important modern and contemporary auctions as well as gallery exhibitions and museum openings.”
Sanford L. Smith & Associates have produced the Fall Antiques Show, the first all-Americana show, Modernism, Works on Paper and the Outsider Art Fair. In addition they act as project manager for the Art Dealers Association of America’s Art Show and manage The Print Fair for the International Fine Print Dealers Association and The New York Antiquarian Book Fair for the ABAA.
Preview will be Wednesday, November 20, 6 to 9 pm. Show hours are Thursday and Friday, noon to 8 pm; Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm, and Sunday, noon to 6 pm. For information, 212-777-5218.
