Ca. 1910, the layer of 24K gold plating on gold doré Tiffany Studios bronze is thin and easily worn off. Frequently a layer of dirt protects the gold underneath. That was the case with this lamp. Cleaning the dirt off the base revealed the original gold doré finish in fantastic original condition. The shades are highly fluted and gorgeous, so the lamp is a really great example. Signed base and shades.
