Amusing Allegorical Folk Art Painting- Price Upon Request
“Oblivious to Danger,” an amusing allegorical folk art oil on canvas of a man on a river or lake with a bear coming up behind him, a thunderstorm with sharp lightning, a fish out of the creel, a No Trespassing/Private Property sign, a split bottle and a sinking boat...but there is a rainbow on the horizon! I am not a fisherman, but I guess the message here is “I’d Rather be Fishing.” The painting measures 31½ by 29½ inches and is circa 1930.
