Clarissa Watson worked this beautiful silk embroidered c.1809 memorial while at the Abby Wright School in South Hadley, MA. It is dedicated to her sister, who was 3 years older, Lucy Watson Mason who died at the age 25 just 8 months after she married Ebenezer Mason. Clarissa married Russell Prouty in 1814.
