A fine William and Mary banister back armchair with bold crown-shaped crest with crisply turned finials and legs. Maple, in dry old red color, with no repair or restoration. Probably southeastern New Hampshire, dating from the mid-Eighteenth Century, and measuring 44½ inches high, 15½-inch seat height.
