Nan Gurley⁳ Sturbridge Antiques Show, which was scheduled for Sunday, November 6, has been cancelled.

For the exhibition ⁄iego Rivera: Murals for The Museum of Modern Art,†MoMA will reunite five ⁰ortable murals†that were made for a monographic exhibit of the artist⁳ work at the museum in 1931. The exhibition will be on view November 13 to May 14

The Original Round Top Texas Antiques Fair, hosted by Susan and Bo Franks September 28⁏ctober 1, saw more than 250 exhibiting dealers offering antiques and collectibles from the earliest American styles through Biedermeier from Europe, lacquered furniture from Asia and even some of the later industrial fashions for the home and workplace.

Ashley Ferguson, co-manager of the Marburger Farm Antique Show, reported that more than 350 dealers exhibited at the most recent event, September 27⁏ctober 1. And in spite of oppressive heat, the Tuesday opening had nearly 1,000 waiting as the barricades were lowered at 10 am.

There were many new faces in the crowd on September 21 as a host of people flew in to attend Kodner Galleries†auction.The sale also drew large local interest for the first auction of the season.

Eclectic, but solid offerings attracted dealers and retail buyers to the two-day sale, October 15‱6, at Grogan & Company.

In honor of the centenary of Howard Pyle⁳ death and celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding, Delaware Art Museum will present ⁈oward Pyle: American Master Rediscovered,†a major retrospective exhibition featuring 79 paintings and drawings created by Pyle between 1876 and 1910, on view November 12⁍arch 4.

It was a ⁤ream come true†for a local picker at Clarke Auctioneers this past Sunday, October 23, as a rare oil painting on panel by Maurice Prendergast became the star lot of the auction.

The Bruce Museum presents the new exhibition ⁄ivided Light and Color: American Impressionist Landscapes†from October 29 through January 29.

⁗e gave it a lot of thought, talked it over with the dealers, and it worked well,†Karen DiSaia, show manager said, referring to the date change this year for the annual ADA/Historic Deerfield Antiques Show. The two-day show, regularly scheduled for a Saturday opening, this year opened on Sunday, October 9, to avoid Yom Kippur, and continued into Monday. ⁗e had a record opening day crowd on Sunday, and our Monday gate was equal to our usual Sunday,” she said.
