Andrea Lowden Acoma Pot- Price Upon Request
Native American Southwest, ca. 1960. Lovely pottery vessel with interesting geometric pattern in black, white, and rust. The jar is circled by large diamonds filled with a checkerboard pattern. Mirror images of a birdlike figure cover the top and bottom of the motif. The bottom of the jar is signed "Pueblo of Acoma Andrea Lowden." 5-1/2"H x 8" at widest Provenance: ex-Historia Antiques, Santa Monica, CA.. Condition Report: Intact/excellent condition. Andrea is grandmother of Patricia M. Lowden, and makes polychrome jars, and bowls. She has been featured in publications such as Minge 1991:195.
