Authentic Rare Konyak Naga Woman’s Beaded Skirt- Price Upon Request
Authentic rare Konyak Naga woman’s beaded skirt. Fine, rare beaded cloth skirt worn by Konyak Naga chief’s clan young women only. Rare blue and green glass seed beads mixed with mustard beads over one half, with bead and bell attachment at one corner, unadorned cloth is the other half. Plastic buttons probably added later when they became available and popular as something new and different. One of the buttons has red thread and it looks like a little smiley face. The piece is 31 inches long, 5 inches wide and has 8 rows of beads, and is in excellent condition for its use and age which is the early to mid 19th century.
