Historic Zia Polychrome Jar- Price Upon Request
A Zia polychrome jar. In unusual storage jar shape and size, with feathers about the rim, over flori-forms and a scalloped basal band. Height 10 1/2 in, diameter 15 in. Dripping evident from mineral content-while mostly found on the lower section of the jar, the visual evidence does not appear to clean off, vessel slopes just a little bit, occasional scattered small scratches or stains typical of historic pottery. From the Bob Peters estate, New York City, circa 1930's. Bob had a particular interest in both Zuni and other Pueblo pottery over the years.
