An Exceptional Painted And Decorated Sheraton Dressing Table- Price Upon Request
An exceptional painted and decorated Sheraton dressing table, probably New Hampshire and possibly related to the tables made by Martin Bullock (1810–1976) of Newport, N.H., or David Whipple of Croydon, N.H. It is made of pine and poplar and has a most unusual form with its exaggerated backboard and bold imaginative decoration. It is in beautiful condition with minor areas of paint loss. It measures 41 inches high by 34½ inches wide and 19¾ inches deep, circa 1830. It is illustrated in The Magazine Antiques, May 1984, page 1145.
