Edward Savage (1761-1817) Portrait of a Gentleman, oil on canvas on original stretcher, 28” x 24” (sight), signed lower left, dated on top of ledger page “Dec. 11, 1786.” While the identity of the sitter is presently unknown, this has presumably descended in his family, and it has never been offered before now.
