New Hampshire Dunlap Chest-On-Chest On Frame- Price Upon Request
New Hampshire Dunlap Chest-On-Chest On Frame Attributed to Lt. Samuel Dunlap – C. 1795 This rare and impressive Dunlap chest-on-chest was exhibited in 1970 at the Currier Gallery of Art exhibition, “The Dunlaps & Their Furniture”. Refer to the publication of the same name by Charles S. Parsons–plate 43. Comparable examples can be found at the New Hampshire Historical Society and the Yale University Art Gallery. This chest has been in a private collection for the last 50 years and a complete history of ownership dating back to the original owner is available to the purchaser. The case is of maple and is in excellent condition with no damage to the scrolls, returns or bandy legs. Height – 6 ft. 7 in. Width – 38 in. (lower case) Depth – 18 ½ in.
