Rare colorful hooked rug featuring an elephant on a randomly designed background. Excellent condition and mounted for hanging. Late 19th to early 20th century. The rug measures 36 inches wide by 24 inches high. Found in the attic of the historic Wilson Tavern built in 1790 in Peterborough, NH. The property has been a residence since 1820.
