Banister-Backed Armchair With Molded Tombstone Crest- Price Upon Request
A banister-backed armchair with molded tombstone crest, shaped banisters and arms, and turned stretchers. In old black paint over a thin original red. Exceptional surface and condition, perhaps 1" was taken of the bottoms of the back legs at some point in the past. Maple throughout, 43 1/2" ht., 17" seat ht. The mate to this chair is shown and discussed on pages 64-66 in Harbor and Home. That chair is one that I sold in the early 1980's.
