VINELAND, N.J. — More than 1,000 lots were offered in Bertoia’s Annual Fall Auction on November 17 and 18. Among the favorable categories were mechanical banks, spelter and iron still banks, automobiles, and European tinplate and windup toys. The sale saw more than 2,000 participants from around the world and finished with a total realized exceeding $1.8 million. Among the strongest performances of the day was a rare cast iron Hubley fire house that sold to an advanced fire toy collector in the United States for $36,000, including buyer’s premium.
