COPAKE, N.Y. — Copake Auction kicked off Easter weekend celebrations with two sales: April 18’s Garden Outdoor Patio Auction and April 19’s Estate Auction. Collectively, the two sales saw 1,160 lots cross the block, with the highest price going to a Chinese cloisonné vase from the Estate Auction at $7,813 (pictured). The two-handled vase had enameled dragon decorations and was signed and dated in its underside “June 17, 1917.” Keeping with the East Asian theme, two bronze Asian pagodas took the top spot in the Garden Outdoor Patio Auction, earning $4,063. Prices quoted include buyer’s premium. Additional highlights from both sales will be featured in an upcoming issue.
