NEW YORK CITY — Capsule presented American and European Art, a sale of figurative work, landscapes, genre scenes, still lifes, and marine paintings from Nineteenth and Twentieth Century artists on June 15. At the top of this auction was a lithograph by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919) titled “Pinning The Hat.” From the Piel collection, the lithograph was signed by Renoir in pencil and was in very good overall condition, achieving $18,750. Other artists favored in the auction included Adolf Hiermy-Hirschl, Clara Klinghoffer and Frank Lloyd Wright.
