MANHEIM, PENN. — The top lot of Hess Auction’s December 3 antiques and Americana auction was a 1966 Jaguar XKE Series 1 two-door coupe with a 4-2 liter engine that brought $60,500.
Another standout in the sale was an untouched Jacob Eicholtz oil on canvas portrait painting of George Washington (after Gilbert Stuart’s Vaughn-type portrait) that earned $37,760.
A complete review of the auction will appear in a future edition.
