Laura Mitchel, Family Register Needlework Sampler- Price Upon Request
Laura Mitchel, at age 13, in 1830, worked this striking Family Register needlework sampler at Miss Cornwall’s school in Glastonbury, Conn., She recorded the births and marriage of her parents and the births and deaths of her siblings. There was no doubt that she was boarding in Glastonbury while attending school, because her family lived 50 miles away in South Britain, Conn. It is a silk on linen, 20¾ by 26 inches framed.
