Work table, 19th C., Killarney Ireland lift top, artubus and other regional woods, oblong top with hinged lid opens to reveal fitted interior with multiple compartments, a large center compartment with hinged lid over deep well, rectangular top inlaid with a central Muckross Abbey roundel, foliate borders of intertwined thistle and shamrock vines, all flanked by fern leaves and berry borders, lid opens to reveal interior inlaid with a harp, clover and foliate border, faceted pedestal standard, swell at base, trailing shamrock and thistle inlay, shaped plinth rests on four ebonized paw feet, ring at base of pedestal also ebonized, top lid with some loss to inlay and some splitting, interior some small sections of loose inlay stored inside, not all missing pieces are present, other scattered veneer loss, 29" h. x 23 1/2" w. x 17 1/2" d.
