Harry Russell Ballinger (American 1892-1993), "Untitled" (Winter Sunset)", oil on canvas, depicts evening snow scene with barn and farmhouse in foreground, peach colored clouds silhouette mountainous horizon, signed lower right "H R Ballinger", in Newcomb Macklin molded frame with subtle raised foliate decoration to corner and later painted gold finish, age cracks and scattered surface loss to edges, old Newcomb Macklin paper label to stretcher bar, not examined out of frame, wear consistent with age and use including stretcher bar impressions, area of concentrated cracquelure (possibly from light impact) at upper left, very minor craquelure scattered throughout, etc., 27" h. x 35 1/8" w., frame: 32" h. x 40" w.
