Viennese large enameled wooden casket, late 19th C., Austria, ebonized wooden frame mounted with hand-painted enamel plaques of classical figures and landscapes, top features ivory carving of boy playing flute on plinth base with plaques and metal mounts, smaller gilded finials to each corner with leads to columns in full relief and wrapped with gilded wire, cabinet form case with paneled sides featuring finely painted mythological scenes, two double-sided front doors open to reveal two stacks of three short drawers, each with enameled plaque of bucolic castle landscape, exterior base with long drawer with two plaques and metal pull, single plaque to all sides of base, gilded metal mounts throughout, raised on four turned feet, wear consistent with age including loss of finish, checking, rubbing of enamel, nicks to edge, larger cracks to top, etc., sold as is, 13" h. x 8 1/2" w. x 7" d.
